Performance & Charging

Under standard test conditions (1000 W/m2, 25C), the panel delivers 5W of power at 6V/0.83A. In typical outdoor conditions (500-800 W/m2 average irradiance during daylight hours), the panel produces 2.5-4W of usable charging power. A fully discharged 3.7V 2000mAh lithium-ion battery (7.4Wh) can be charged in approximately 2-3 hours of direct sunlight. The integrated PWM charge controller ensures efficient charging across varying light conditions, with three charging phases: bulk (constant current), absorption (constant voltage), and float (trickle charge). The panel is designed to charge the battery even on cloudy days, albeit at a reduced rate (approximately 20-30% of full sun output). Construction & Compliance

The panel is constructed using lamination technology: EVA encapsulant film is layered between the tempered glass front and TPT backsheet, with the solar cell string embedded in the EVA. The laminate is cured in a vacuum laminator at 140C for 15 minutes, ensuring complete encapsulation and eliminating air bubbles. The anodized aluminum frame provides structural rigidity and corrosion resistance, tested per ASTM B117 (salt spray: > 1000 hours without corrosion). The panel is IEC 61215 certified (crystalline silicon terrestrial photovoltaic modules – design qualification and type approval) and IEC 61730 certified (photovoltaic module safety qualification).
