The Libra Table Lamp is engineered for focused task illumination with dual independently adjustable heads. Each conical shade is deep-drawn from 18-gauge steel with a matte black powder-coat interior to maximize downward light reflection and minimize glare. The flexible gooseneck arms allow 360-degree rotation and 90-degree vertical tilt, positioning light precisely where needed. The weighted round base provides stability on desks and nightstands while the dual on/off switches allow independent control of each head.

Thermal & Structural Performance

The steel shades act as passive heat sinks, dissipating bulb heat through the 1.0mm wall and 5-inch diameter surface area. Measured shade exterior temperature with 60W incandescent bulb: 55C (ambient 25C), safe to touch after 3 minutes of cooling. The weighted base provides a low center of gravity (1.5 inches from surface), ensuring stability with both arms fully extended. Tilt test on 15-degree incline passed without tipping. The gooseneck arms maintain position with 2 lbs of holding force at the shade, rated for 10,000 adjustment cycles without loss of holding torque. The powder coating is cured at 180C for 20 minutes and tested per ASTM D3359 (cross-hatch adhesion, rating 4B+).
